Just a helpful reminder that we’re less than four weeks out from Halloween
Hello everyone! Just a helpful reminder that we’re less than four weeks out from Halloween, so if you haven’t picked a costume yet, GET A MOVE ON. But if thinking about your future costume is too stressful, I’m here to give you a break from all that, by asking you to think about costumes past.
Specifically pop culture costumes, which is what today’s open thread is all about. We’ve been giving you costume ideas for a little over a week now, from couples to groups to speculating on who will take up the mantle of offensiveness from Julianne Hough this year, so our brains are pretty burned out.
And we need new ideas! So do us a solid and fill us in on your best pop culture Halloween costume ever. I’ll get things started with mine, which was ‘Brown Swan’, in the same year that Black Swan came out. Everyone else was walking around in gorgeous makeup and flattering tutus, and I looked like something you’d step on in the subway. It was amazing, and it was my favorite.

Vogue China is the first fashion title in the world to style the Apple Watch on its cover, it was revealed today. The November 2014 issue will feature model Liu Wen wearing the device in an iconic moment when fashion meets tech, reaffirming Vogue?s standing as the unparalleled style bible. On the cover Chinese supermodel Liu Wenmodels the 38mm Apple Watch Edition in 18-carat yellow gold, with a bright red modern buckle, styled by Karl Templerin a striped ensemble by Céline, and photographed by long time Vogue collaborator David Sims. The House of Fraser Glasgow outpost is one of 12 scheduled concessions to be opened in the next six months
The launch is the first of 12 concessions scheduled to open in the next six months before the brand considers standalone shops.
A spokesperson for House of Fraser, Glasgow, said: 'We are proud to welcome such a globally esteemed Scottish lingerie brand as Ultimo to our Glasgow House of Fraser store where we always seek to deliver premium product.'
The new store has been designed by global retail design agency Design4Retail, who have previously designed retail solutions for brands including Cath Kidston, Clarins, Clinique, and Adidas.
The latest Ultimo ranges are available in sizes 30-38 A-DD, from £10 for briefs and £20 for bras.
